This article talks about how most people don't no how bad income inequality is in America, and they asked 5,000 Americans to guess the percentage of wealth owned by each fifth of the population. they found that the average American thinks that the richest fifth own 59% of the wealth and that the bottom 40% own 9%. The truth is that there is a much larger gap, where the top 20% have more than 84% of the wealth and the bottom 40% combine for a paltry 0.3%. I actually didn't know it was that bad i knew it was bad but not that bad.

The Middle Class
This article talks about the shrinking middle class the United States, it states that the middle class is losing ground in the majority of metropolitan areas in the country. This concerns me because i will most likely be in the middle class when i find a career. People say that this country used to have a thriving middle class. Hopefully we will find a way to go back to the days when this country had a string middle class and not where we are now where only people at the top are strong.

Maybe One Day
This article shows that there is defiantly income inequality in the U.S. It is pretty crazy that income inequality has gone up in every state and also that there are 24 states where the top one percent captured at least half of all income between 2009 and 2013, and that in 15 of those states the top one percent has all the income growth. This article also shows how much more the one percent makes compared to the everyone else, it is 25.3 times more. I don't know if there will every be a day when the gap will decrease, maybe one day.
